She recently published an incredibly important article highlighting the impact that Michael Vick's dogs so many years later. The exposure of that dogfighting ring at the helm of such a public figure changed everyone's lives but most importantly, the pups' lives. These Pitbulls were victims of one of the most if not the most public dogfighting ring exposures ever. Those 47 dogs had scars that stuck with them both visible and invisible, however, the impact of these pups is that it moved the needle on how these dogfighting seizures would be managed in the future.
